Our Staff have the necessary training and expertise to monitor the QUALITY in the crate and on-site. They visit each site to advise Architect, Slater and Client on the TOTAL roof construction [ slates, felt, ventilation, counter battening etc].

Slate roofs are much more complicated today than 100 years ago. Our experience of stripping old roofs is invaluable. Father TIME is the best tester by far because he uses REAL time and REAL weather conditions.

ARCHITECTS now design for the 21st Century. Many houses have warm attic with increasing amounts of insulation.

Every roof is potentially different mixture of pitch, exposure, design, slate size, felt or membranes, slate vents or ridge vents, insulation under or over rafters, etc.

The Roofing Salesperson must be fully conversant with all aspects of roof design and not just "a slate from a Quarry at a price".
